West Sweden Cemetery
Sweden, New York

line

This cemetery is located on the east side of the WestSweden Road about ½ mile north of the LaDue Road in theTown of Sweden.

The tombstones in this cemetery have been copied twice before. The first list was made on Aug. 6, 1934 by Mary Douglas and Myrte Rice Haynes. The other list was made Sept. 4, 1935 by Mrs. Edward D. Stewart. This list was made by combining the two previous lists, then a visit was made to the cemetery by Richard T. Halsey on July 6, 1989 and corrections and additions were made.

Received an e-mail in Oct. 1999 that the tombstones were also copied in the 1980s by Elizabeth Cook. She had a few inscriptions that weren't found later. Also, there are minor diferences in interpretation of some tombstones. Her data is noted in red.
