Penfield Station, East Rochester - Historic Marker

Penfield Station, East Rochester

PENFIELD STATION
Built in 1884, it served as the
main freight/passenger terminal
for the New York Central Railroad
until 1900. It continued as a freight
house until the 1960s when it
became a commercial establishment.

Located at: On the southeast corner of Despatch Drive and N. Washington Street
Placed by: Village/Town of East Rochester, 1997

Note: This railroad station burned down in 2014 and was replaced by a similar looking building.
