Tinker Cemetery
Henrietta, New York

line

This cemetery is located on the north side of Castle Road near Pinnacle Road in the town of Henrietta, New York.

Land for this cemetery was given by Chandler Maltby on May 1, 1832. Near the road, there is a twenty four foot high monument made of granite with the inscriptions for the Tinker family.

This list was made by first combining the following previous lists of tombstones:

  1. A newspaper article in the Democrat & Chronicle of June 6, 1891
  2. A newspaper article by Anah B. Yates in the Rochester Post-Express of Nov. 18, 1911.
  3. A list of tombstone inscriptions made in the mid 1920's by an unknown person.
  4. A list of tombstone inscriptions made in 1928 by Mary T. Douglas.

After making the combined list, a visit was made to the cemetery on Aug. 3, 1990 by Richard T. Halsey. Corrections were made and ten inscriptions not recorded before were added.
