Boyd - Parker Memorial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Rochester, NY
Located in Section BB along Grove Ave. just to the east of the Fireman's Monument

Note: In 1779 some US troops were killed by Senecas who were in league with the British. They were buried in Groveland, NY. In 1841 remains were moved to Section R of Mt. Hope Cemetery in Rochester. Later those remains were removed Section BB of Mt. Hope and this monument was erected. The plaque on the boulder says:  

To the memory
of
Capt.-Lieut. Thomas Boyd,
Sergeant Michael Parker,
Sergeant Nicholas Hungerman,
Sergeant William Floyd,
Corporal Calhoun,
Oneida Lt. Honyost Thaosagwat,
and nine volunteer riflemen.
John Conrey, John Garsway,
Benjamin Curtin, William Harvey,
James McElroy, Elijah Hendrick,
William Fauchey, John Miller,
John Putnam
who fell at Groveland, Livingston County, N.Y.
September 13th 1779, while serving
as a scouting party in the Indian campaign
under
Major-General John Sullivan.
