Russell Station, Rochester, Gas and Electric's newest electric generating plant, is one of the most modern and efficient in this country. Started in 1946 in Rochester, New York,it is scheduled for completion in 1956. When finished, Russell Station will have four generating turbines with a capacity of more than 345,000 horsepower.

Notes: Russell Station burned coal to generate power. It was closed in 2008 and destroyed in 2016.
